ABOUT BRIAN PETERS:

Brian Peters is a spatial artist, designer, and educator currently based in Pittsburgh, Unites States.

He earned a Bachelor degree in Studio Art, a Master’s of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Master’s of Advanced Architecture from the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalunya, in Barcelona, Spain.

He has taught and practiced around the world, including the beautiful cities of Chicago, Barcelona, and Amsterdam.

His passion lies at the intersection of architecture, art, and fabrication, while his work explores patterns, textures and forms that show evidence of both the artist’s hand and the marks of the tools used. He is not interested in the perfection of machine-made objects, but rather the art of integrating digital coding, custom-built technology, contemporary aesthetics and natural clay.

Brian Peters has been invited to exhibit work around the world, including in the Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco and the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan. He also has completed a number of commissioned projects, and received prestigious awards, including the followings;
