ABOUT CREATIVE SPONGE:

Creative Sponge is a brand communications agency, mainly specialized in marketing strategy, graphic design, web development and advertising. The team is composed of brilliantly talented creatives and relationship builders, working hard to combine creative ideas, diverse skill sets and technical knowledge to ensure every project is managed efficiently to achieve the best results possible.

With years of expertise across FMCG, property & construction, education, health & wellbeing, hospitality & leisure and charity sectors – the company accumulated the experience and knowledge to elevate brands to reach their full potential and create powerful connections with their audience.

The team is headed by;

-Patrick Hennings (Creative Director) – As Creative Director, Patrick leads the Studio team – He has an oversight across all the projects that come through the studio, as well as being a hands on designer leading on projects across brand, campaign, digital and print. With over a decade experience in the industry, Patrick has built up valuable experience at multiple agencies working as a freelancer, including over 4 years at a leading property marketing agency, specialising in place-making design, content creation and branding.

-Alex Tosh (Founder and Managing Director) – After graduating with an honours degree in business from De Montfort, Alex spent the first 10 years of his career in various marketing roles with Nestlé, Johnson & Johnson and Campbell Soup Co – both in the UK and in Australia. In 2004, he took the plunge and started Sponge out of a passion for marketing and all things creative. The business has grown steadily since and, in 2018, was listed in Design Week’s Top 100. Outside of work, Alex is a keen runner and cyclist. His dogs, numerous chickens, tortoises and gerbils along with a bid to become more self-sufficient by growing his own veggies, keep him and his wife Lorraine very busy!

-Martin Betts (New Business Manager) – Martin joined Sponge in September 2018 as Senior Account Manager before taking on the role of New Business Manager. He now heads up Client Services, responsible for the commercial success of the agency, and fostering key relationships to help the growth over the coming months and years. Before working at Sponge, Martin spent 20 years working in journalism, publishing, and communications.
